Why do I get the feeling that anons who complain about Gen 5 are also unironic shills for Gen 8, however gen 5 representation is in over abundance given Jimothy Turner.
Please let me know if you are/are not a fan of gen 5 and/Or buying gen 8.

BW2 are my favorite games in the series and I fucking hate SWSH.
Also dex representation has nothing to do with how you feel about the game, I'm betting part of the reason Gen 5 has so many reps is because Turner had a hand in a lot of those Pokemon, I think the only Turnermon that are missing are the UBs? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Gen V is my 2nd favourite Generation overall, Gen VIII has been working its way towards being my least favourite Generation, I think given that we finally got the complete dex it's dethroned Gen VII from the throne of shittiness in my book.

I love gen 5. gen 5 had hands down the best story mode of any pokemon mainline game, had tons of post game features, seasons, great region locations etc.

It's not perfect, the graphics have aged poorly, and the mons are a big mixed bag, some 10/10 designs and 1/10 designs, but only letting you use new pokemon until postgame was a great idea that should have carried forward.

Removing old pokemon, even in postgame from gen 8 is a disaster, the pokemon roster in gen 8 is way worse, with barely a few of the 80ish new mons being good (imo) and the gigantamax feature is stupid, im not buying, gonna wait it out till the second game.

It's because it's memed that gen 5 is /vp/'s favorite gen because this place came to be during gen 5 hype season. Shills see /vp/ hate every new gen, so strawman endlessly about gen 5.

There's also the fact that gen 5 is the last gen to have lasting fans of the games. The only fans Gen 6 has are the animefags, and SM doesn't look to have any lasting fanbase.

Seeing more than half of the natdex cut for some curry experience is literally the anti-Unova equation. I'm actually disgusted this game gave Unova more representation because I don't want my favorite gen associated with this trash. Again: BLERGH.
