It doesn't matter if Magnezone looks bad, Klinklang looks 10x worse while filling the same purpose. It's face is so obscured by gears that it all you see is the baby 1/2klink's stupid expression.

A good chunk of the gen 4 evos of previous gen mons are straight downgrades from the previous gen mon's design like Pory 2, Piloswine, Magneton, and Misdreavus

I can sort of understand magneton because the way it moves gives it a unique feel that no other pokemon has. I think magnezone is still good but in a differnt way. The rest of your examples are bad a d gen 4 has much worse cross evos.
