Fucking hell. In XY before the Bank only 17% of the national dex at the time was unobtainable in-game, that game had 595 Pokemon obtainable in-game without any transfers, and it still had a national dex for when Bank came out.
Where did it go so wrong?

The galar dex itself is incredible, and I'm glad they didn't stick the regional dex with all shillmons like Garchomp and Heracross, genuinely looking forward to SwSh

Love this dex. They did a nice choice and all or almost all Mons somehow connected to the sword or the shield are there.
But I would've kept out Pokémon we've seen for gens now, like Wingull, Gengar, obviously Char, Gyarados, and pretty much all the kanto pandering. If anything they could have given a Gigantamax Nidoking to Dandel. But it's not too relevant anyway.

Clydesdale horses originated in the Clydesdale (now called Lanarkshire) in Scotland, UK.

That said, they left out the Stoutland line which are based on Scottish Terrier dogs, and Stoutland's name is literally a reference to Scotland.
