I think the Applin line, Toxtricity and the Dreepy line should have been shown before. Honestly I think the best way they handled a pokemon before release was Impidimp, can you imagine if it never got leaked? The hype around it might have been even bigger.

Fuck no. Gossifleur and Eldegoss are two of the most generic Grass types I've seen in a while, Alcremie and Rolycoly are just more objectmons, Duraludon is a shit design all around, and almost everything else either consists of Galarian forms or Gigantamax which is mainly KANTOOOOOOOOO bullshit.

The thing is, Gen 8 does have a lot of really cool fucking designs so I have no idea why they weren't showcased instead. GF picked some of the worst ones to market the game.

were all mistakes in that they didn't seem to get a devoted following. Even if you don't like the others they still generated excitement and hyped the game for the communities that built up around them.

Should’ve revealed Tocitricity and Frosmoth, the community would have loved them. And why didn’t they show Galarian Farfetch’d/Rapidash? There’s no reason to hide them.

Nah, just don't reveal the shit ones before the game releases. There are so many great lines they could have advertised beforehand but didn't because they were more invested in the ones they thought were marketable and cute instead, except half of them either look goofy or generic.

This may not have even been Game Freak's decision, but rather TPC's. Those guys never have their priorities straight.
