Really all they did was make an extinct lizard into a colony organism and considered its headshape matched a Stealth Bomber.

The Ghost typing is probably due to the Stealth Bomber and rather than the idea it shoots its young, the weaponized prevos are actually afterimages of its former self.

It's overdesigned? it barely even has less details than a dragonite, it's just more colorful.
i'm a salamander fan so i can't not like it, unless it was absolutely mangled ofc, but it looks very much true to the hammerhead.

i still wonder why it's ghost, but i'm sure the dex entry makes sense of it.
The color palette is also really pretty.
As for the floating, i'm fine with it since it's a spirit afterall. But for mons like salamence it makes absolutely no fucking sense for it to be chronically stuck mid-air at all times. Like we get it, bagon had a dream of flying.
