Actually no, most Pokemon fans are mindless insectoids and will be buying the games even if they think it looks bad.

The problem is almost every series that came to the Switch from a past console got a major upgrade. Mario, Zelda, Fire Emblem, Smash, Xenoblade, Luigi's Mansion you name it. Only Pokemon's first Switch game (and by proxy, first home console game) is a half-assed piece of trash filled with Masuda's feces, but as I said, the insectoids dont care if the product is trash and will buy it just because its Pokemon.

Even the ports are better than SWSH. Tropical Freeze is one of the best platformers of all time, and Mario Kart is Mario Kart. Even LM3 is widely appreciated by Luigi fans. The difference is that GF has to juggle with media juggernaut that is Pokemon, and they cannot delay games or have long production cycles because of anime, tcg, and merch tie ins. Pokemon without that to weigh it down would be a lot better

Odyssey is barely a platformer at all, only around 15% of its moons involve platforming of some kind, if that.

Some of those isolated platforming areas that you enter through hat doors/moon pipes are pretty fun, if a tad too easy, and make it feel like a Mario game for a brief moment.
Then you go back to the main area and it's doing inane shit like pounding the ground and talking to NPCs to get way way more moons than you ever got by doing the few and far between actual platforming sections.
It's a fucking shame, I don't use the word overrated lightly but it's like no one who sucks that game's dick ever played a platformer in their lives.

First off, you pulled that percentage out of your ass. Most moons involve platforming of some kind, even if it's not traditional like flinging yourself around as a Pokio.
Second of all, have you considered that pure platforming isn't what most people want from a 3D Mario game? We had 3D Land and 3D World for that, and they weren't particularly popular games. Most people wanted a game like 64 or Sunshine where platforming is simply the means of exploring the space you're in (with the occasional traditional platforming challenge thrown in), rather than the entire point in and of itself. That's what Odyssey delivered, and that's why so many people were happy with it.

And also, you do know the reason 3D World was unpopular, right? No one bought a fucking Wii U. And even then, 3D World is only good as a more respectable attempt at an actual 3D Mario platformer, if you pit it against the 2D games it loses to the vast majority of them. 3D platforming is yet to be perfected, and awful N64 callbacks keep holding the genre back further.

I think Three Houses is genuinely the most interesting FE game in a while in terms of gameplay and depth, certanly the best one out of the post-Awakening era. But that's my opinion.
And even though I love BotW, the game is kind of controversial among core Zelda fans, there is some split there though not as big as Pokemon.

Maybe so, but 3H still manages to be a very solid game that addresses several issues the fans had with previous entries, brings back features both from old and new games, and is still quite ambitious in trying new ideas and mechanics while retaining what makes it an FE game. Shit graphics are the only thing holding it back.

Have you even played it? They did nothing to fix the game. In the literal sense. Actually nothing. All they did was add more playable characters to an already huge roster and add a SEPERATE story mode that only lasts like an hour. All the issues of the initial release are still there. That is NOT how you fix a game.

It didn’t. They ignored every issue the base game had and focused solely on adding fanservice characters and a short puzzle bonus story mode. The game is still shit, the only difference is that now you can play that shit with your favourite character.

Oh man, you're right. Getting a port to a series who's last game was released like three or four years ago and has had numerous spiritual successors by the same company is totally comparable to F-Zero not having a game in almost 20 years, no games coming out like it, and Nintendo actively refusing to make more games in the series.
