Games cost way more than that in japan anyway so there's nothing to defend. I'm sure if Pokemon was made in China it could be cheaper.

Game development has become increasingly expensive and as the industry has grown to eclipse the film industry in value it has drawn in massive volumes of external investment who will proceed to drive the quality of products into the ground for increased returns before moving on once consumers sour on the endless sea of shit products - just like Hollywood. Everything good is ruined by this pattern once it becomes popular.

I don’t care about the same old Pokémon I’ve seen for generation after generation. I would not care if they wiped everything and had all new Pokémon. I don’t have to defend this because it’s my opinion, just like it’s your opinion that a cut like that is an absolute deal breaker. Just don’t buy the game
