Was this bait or just pure retardation? Furthermore, I don't think anyone was worried about not having Pokemon to use. They're worried about Gamefreak finding excuses to cut corners while not improving the games in any meaningful way. It's a good thing the Physical/Special split happened when it did, because at the rate we're currently going Gamefreak might have decided it was a 'unique regional feature' and cut it from future games.
