However, the fact they're unwilling to patch the rest in and likely would only need to change a few flags and add the models, textures, and animation data to do it if lgpe is any indication then there's definitely a bigger problem. Whether that problem is a bad policy the actual dev team has no say in, snags in production they're unwilling to admit, or just generally being out of touch with their audience we can't know for sure.
I know dlc is not the best way to fix this, but it's an option they could take that would eliminate a sizable chunk of the backlash without missing their deadline and requiring only a handful of people to roll out plus it'll extend the lifecycle of the game. I'd rather an unfinished game at launch that gets fixed later than an unfinished game that never gets fixed, wich seems like all we've had since gen 6 and all we're ever gonna get moving forward.
