XY was mediocre but still comfy. It just needed its own third version. Maybe it could have been given a pass for being the first 3DS game.
ORAS made me hype but still sucked. Game was an outright stomp in terms of difficulty. Postgame being Battle Maison was terrible, especially with the excuse that Maison came from Hoenn despite that being a French word.
Overall for Gen 6 megas were a mistake and hurt the gameplay.
I skipped SM because I anticipated the new version, the story with Lusamine was interesting
I skipped USUM and pirated it much much later. Not really a fan of the cutscenes so far. It's a tiny bit better than Gen 6.
3ds era was just wasted potential all around. Would have been much better if the theoretical Pokemon Z was the Platinum of XY and just repaired pretty much all of the problems.
