Fuck they are being blatant with this, even down to the way they show other "tamers" before battle.
Not gonna lie though it looks really nice, about time there was actual competition when it comes to Pokemon style games.

I don't mind the mon designs even if evolution is very much an 'it just gets bigger' affair, but always-online is a complete dealbreaker.

That being said I hope it does well, if only to prove that Pokemon has viable competition. Being the biggest fish in the pond has contributed heavily to Game Freak's laziness.

Cubemon is probably the best Pokemon rip-off.

That's a common thing in indie games. Look at Stardew Valley. That game doesn't even try to hide that it's Harvest Moon. Like, it's not a game that's suspiciously similar to Harvest Moon. It just IS Harvest Moon with a different title.
