Gen 1 was the bomb. Satoshi's vision ended at the first gen but Pokemon was turned into a cash-cow.

Pokemon are not equal. That isn't "selfish perception", that is reality. "Truly skilled" trainers make the best use of what they have at hand to win, not succumb to favoritism (What if my favorites are the really strong Pokemon?). Using a Ratatat or some shitmon you would never ever normally use with an item doesn't prove Karen's point, it's called strategy.

The games have been dunking on this bullshit for quite a while now, it's funny.
