we can argue autistically all we want about which gen had the worst designs, but this design is still really low effort and surprisingly unfitting to pokemon as an IP. it doesn't even look like a pokemon

this design is literally just a penguin with an emoji for a head. it's poorly proportioned, lazy, and conveys nothing of interest. if you think this is how pokemon should look, okay sure, but you still have to admit it's a pretty heavy departure from making original creatures out of different animals / concepts

Couldn't be more wrong. I'm a kantochad and I think the design's a breath of fresh air. Just wish it had more expressiveness but its pretty much a gen 1 mon in spirit. A rarity these days.
