I'm sorry anon. Cancer is a really shitty thing to have to deal with. Don't forget though, cancer treatment is way better than the media makes it out to be. The survival rates are great and only getting better.
My mum was diagnosed with grade 4 bowel cancer a few years ago, the doctors said she only had 3 years left to live. 4 years later she's completely healthy.
Don't lose hope, anon.

The Pokemon who I have the fondest memories of is my Ursaring named Sam who I used in Pokemon XD when I was little. He was the star of my team and could could carry nearly every fight just spamming Return.

Maybe not a pokemon, but finding three new favorites in granite cave is was great. Well, two, depending on the version, mawile, sableye, and aron.
I remember once when I was really young, I was on a long drive home with my dad, mom, and young sister, and because I get really car sick if I read, I was playing the slot machines. My sister wanted a try, so I showed her how to do it, and she got the jackpot on her first try.
She later on got a shiny in gen 4 before i found my first one, two gens later, besides red gyrados.
Dewgong was one of the pokemon I had in my party during the slot machine thing too weirdly enough. Cute seadoggo. Hope your mom gets better.

seriously we had a sick anon comfy thread a week or so back and there werent any edgy shitters
i remember bringing my Blue with me on family vacation and having a lot of fun leveling and evolving stuff to fill my pokedex because it was super boring. that was the only good part of that trip

The Pokemon I have the fondest memories of is Umbreon. I got Pokemon Crystal for my birthday, and I loved the game so much. English isn't my first language, and I played through Yellow without really understanding the game, but Crystal was the first time I could understand more or less what was happening. Game magazines had pictures of Umbreon and Espeon, talking about the new Eeveelutions, and I loved Umbreon but I didn't really know how to evolve Eevee to it (because I was a stupid kid)
Around that time, I got sick and had to stay in the hospital for around two weeks. My GBC ended up staying at home when I went to the hospital and I was really frustrated and bored, so I asked my older brother to bring it to me - and he brought it the next day, after figuring out how to evolve my Eevee into an Umbreon, and with it holding a mail wishing me better.
It meant a lot to me at the time and made it into a favorite.

I used to play so much of my copy of Pokemon Crystal that I wore the buttons down on my gameboy, and when my mom bought me a gameboy advance sp for christmas a few years later, the first thing i did was play an entire playthrough of crystal so that i could see the entire game. it was amazing.

Walrein is the Pokemon I have the fondest memories of, because she was my last 'mon standing in my first ever Nuzlocke run of a game (Emerald) thanks to miraculously surviving a Dragon Danced Hyper Beam from Wallace's Gyarados and cleaned up the rest of his team. I loved every single Pokemon that made it on my final team, but this fat ugly fucker is on a whole different level and I'm glad I gave her a chance.

I've been training the same Blastoise since FRLG were released, and moving it along each game. His name is Splashums and he's my absolute favorite Pokemon. The thing is though, he wasn't native to the copy of Leaf Green I trained him in. I had both Fire Red and Leaf Green. I chose to start my main adventure in Leaf Green, since it was closer to Blue (which was my first Pokemon game), and I picked Venusaur as my starter because it went along with Leaf Green. As soon as I was able to trade though, I played to the same point in Fire Red to transfer over a Squirtle and a Charmander to have all 3.

I didn't think ahead though - And, being a dumb 8-year old Kid, I didn't pay attention to the Trainer ID. So, instead of it having my name, as I usually use in my Pokemon playthroughs, it bears the name of Stewie; because I thought it'd be funny to have a girl trainer with a guy's name and didn't think it mattered at the time. It's still silly to me, to think about that - But it reminds me of how carefree it was to just have fun while playing Pokemon
