Gens 3 and 4 have their own style, but haven’t strayed too far from their roots.
Gen 5 has its own style which also stays true to the original. The last great art style.
Gen 6 was when things began to feel off, most Pokémon still looked like Pokémon, but it was beginning to slip
Gen 7 was very inconsistent. At points it was far better than gen 6 and at others far worse.
Gen 8 has changed so drastically I cannot consider them Pokémon. Fuck this.
