Pokemon Lets Go was so fun; why didnt they just abandon the shitty main series and get on board with the best thing to hit pokemon since go came out?

Why cant they follow crystal where the cover is raikou and entei and you pick the standard 3 pokemon? Only in gen 1 the cover is starter related but every other gen is legendary

As a huge fan who has pretty much eaten whatever shit GF has crapped onto my plate, even I can't imagine thinking Let's Go was good. Never before has playing a game felt so much like a chore, I legitimately felt like I was being punished for the 10 hours I managed to make myself play.

Let's go was a cash grab for boomers, it was really just a yellow remake with some cameos from other games. If they really wanted a good game they'd have made it a full FRLG revamp with the islands and pokemon from Johto

This is so weird and funny.
Me and my brother were talking about Let's Go Johto games and we ended up deciding that these two made the most sense as well.
Hopefully they would do a Crystal remake justice, unlike what they did to my boy Yellow.
Anyway, just thought that was a weird coincidence.

Nope. Would be Pichu. Pikachu is for the boys because it's seen as being cooler in the original equation and Pichu would continue that. Direct Pikachu clone also makes more sense at least for Gen 2. And Marill in particular, when compared to the entire Pikachu line, is less cool and more cute therefore making it more girl oriented. But Togepi already fills that role and has anime power so it's definitely the only girly choice to go with.

Not a shit eater but I did buy them second had because of things people were saying and the 40 hours I eventually forced myself to do in the end (to get a full teardown) was basically torture. I thought it'd take me a week when I picked them up in late January (received early February).

Took me like 4 months because I couldn't stand playing for more than 30 minutes or so at a time most of the time and I'd go days between even being able to force myself to do that.

And, for reference. I have no issue playing the Gen 1 games. They're not great but they don't have the same baggage attached these games do, nor do they make such mostly asinine design decisions which don't at all meet the concept they set out to meet (if you want what they intended with Trash Go - an entry level game with some slight depth and nostalgia bait for long time players - done well and like Final Fantasy, World of Final Fantasy/Maxima is the game you're looking for, not this shit).

One of Let's Go's biggest problems is that it doesn't want to take the full step of being a Kanto remake.

It's cool seeing Red, Blue & Green altogether in the game, also nice to see Lorelei before the Elite Four.

But it could've really gone the distance and added all those things you mentioned.

Instead, they removed abilities and basically did not acknowledge Johto or the Sevii Islands existed.

It's why I don't think a Let's Go Johto would work, or be any better than HG/SS was.
