>>40918881I may have spent far too long on some of these.
Intelleon: Rippley.
From Rieppeleon, a genus of chameleon. Also adding to it the fact that Sobble turns invisible in water, so you'd only see a ripple when it moved.
Orbeetle: Bryony.
Named after a species of ladybird. Pretty simple and boring but I couldn't think of anything else.
Purrserker: Minskin.
A breed of dwarf cat, because the beard makes me think of dwarves. Minskin also sounds like the kind of name you'd see in a Tolkien novel.
Appletun: Washu.
The Washu 1984 is a variety of apple sold under the name of Green Dragon apples. The name also reminded of Mushu from Mulan for extra dragony-ess.
Grimmsnarl: Urich.
Named after Phil Urich, one of the characters to use the Green Goblin alias in the Marvel comics. Later took on the name Goblin King, which I think seems pretty appropriate for Grimmsnarl.
Grapploct: Balboa.
From the octopus species Balboai, and also from Sylvester Stallone's boxer character, Rocky Balboa, for the fighting type connection.
