>Red card + Sturdy >Haze>Unaware>Roar/whirlwind>Dragon tail/circle throw>TauntThe issue is the speed boosts that are transferred, and that all the switching moves are all minus priority. If it were up to me I would make mean look/arena trap/ magnet pull all effect baton pass.
Right now the best counter play are pranksters with taunt/haze to break the chain, but that would usually cost a pokemon just to remove the stats. However if you let it get that far I would argue that its your fault.
The other counterplay that people are sleeping on is the red card. I find it really amazing. Use it Forretress with sturdy. Set up spikes and pebbles. Let the boost to their hearts content. Bait them into attacking you, go to one HP and force a switch. Or, save it until you expect an attack from their final pokemon, then switch in, take the hit, force them out. Then you can switch into their new pokemon if you expect an attack, or you can use explosion to put a dent into them. If you switch sure now you have a 1 hp rock, but you can then use it as a guaranteed safe switch whenever you want.
You can also give an unaware pokemon a red card, but it might be smarter just to use haze instead.
Baton pass is strong, but I think its beatable. If mean look/arena trap/ magnet pull stopped baton pass it would be much more fair though, and I do wish gamefreak would do that. But when was the last time gamefreak listened to the fans?
