Now, in this case, it seems a little trivial, as we know magikarp survived the cut because we can see gyarados in several trailers. Let say though, for example, it used the bones of a pokemon that did not survive the cut, like carvanha; suddenly, the implications become a lot more gross, doesn’t it? Now, it seems like that pokemon was sacrificed for garbador, like that pokemon was not good enough to be in the game, so it is now just a piece of another, more “worthy” mon, a mon that is just literal garbage...
