I replayed the original Yellow and then LGPE so I agree. Kanto sucks.

Ok I've just played this shit for approx 1hr after getting a switch lite –Initially I was all smiles, the textures and sound are beautiful, so is the overworld –however the wild encounters are tedious mind numbing shit, and there's nothing worse than catching aNOTHER WEEDLE and then your whole party leveling up, some by several levels –massively wasted potential here. I'm now getting ready to return it to the store for my refund. Having played and saved it on the system etc will my copy of SS still get the fat pikachu bonus?

I don’t care about the graphics but I unironically really enjoyed the return to Kanto and the fusion of gameplay with Go. Kanto is kinda shit in retrospect.

But I am disappointed by the lack of postgame. I’ll also admit that the only reason I got it was in anticipation of bringing certain events or whatnot from LGPE to SwSh but it looks like that’s not happening?

When you're going to catch/chain mons remove everyone from your party but that one mon, when you're going to fight trainers use your own party
That way you don't over level
