Chesnaught makes a believable monster.
Delphox is a fursona.
Greninja makes a believable monster.
Decidueye and Incineroar have their flaws but you can vaguely see a monster out of them.
I can picture several Primarina in the wild all with distinct personalities.
Same with Rillaboom.

Cinderace and Intelleon are cartoon caricatures of whatever animal they are based on with cartoon proportions and personality.

Looking at this picture and looking at Rillaboom convinces me that it’s more of a fursona. Oranguru another primate Pokémon, at least keeps it proportions more rounded even if it doesn’t look exactly like an Orangutan, Rillaboom just looks too humanoid.
