I wouldn't mind it if they were either added in later for free or they made a large expansion pack that had ~half a region to explore, ~200 returning Pokemon, a few dozen new ones and features like additional battle facilities (or a full frontier) and was priced fairly.

I think an expansion pack would go over better than "Ultra Sword/Shield" that just adds the Pokemon, some extra bells and whistles and is $60.

Imo these are people who are just angry that they can’t have all the pokemon, but either don’t know or don’t care about any of the games’ problems beyond that. So all they want is the dex cut to be fixed no matter the cost. It’s a dumb mentality but people tend to be irrational when they’re upset

dlc would mean admitting they were wrong. when swsh sells 16 million without the dex, they won't have to admit they were wrong.
dlc would also defeat the purpose of cutting the dex in the first place, which is to force everyone to subscribe to pokemon home.

The whole point of Bank was to transfer Pokémon over that couldn’t be caught in the games, what’s the point in using Home if you can catch all the available Pokémon in the game?
It wouldn’t be the first time this kind of thing has happened, Mario Maker 2 got shit on over multiplayer online and promised to fix it to please the fans.
Adding all the Pokémon back in would fix a lot of shit

I think this'd be a good solution (especially since the whole "same game with slight updates" model might not go over well now that it's $60), if they announced the Swordbreaker/Shieldbreaker Expansion for $20 where you go to a nordic-themed area for a new bit of story and gameplay and all that it'd be pretty cool. Would fit into the new DLC/expansion model Nintendo's been sticking with lately too.

Denial or misinformation at this point. They forget that GameFreak doesn't do DLC or if they do like the Mew thing/Manaphy event it costs more money than anything Bethesda forces you to buy for DLC. And even then they forget to actually think about their own logic. Why would you want DLC instead of just getting the things from the start. DLC is supposed to be new content, not old content repackaged because the company wants some extra cash.

the games are going to do the usual sales figures regardless. they don't need to do anything extra to sell the games.

the "reason" to buy home is to have some place to store your old pokemon while you hope they get put in the next game. i'm assuming that not as many people used bank as game freak expected, which would explain why it's being replaced by this scam and the rotating dex.
