Why are you all complaining about Dexit NOW? There were Pokemon cut in the past and NOBODY made a big deal about it. Look at Spiky Ear Pichu from Heart Gold and Soul Silver, it was never seen again in future titles. But no, the spiky ear pichu wasn't your favorite so you didn't care, but now that your favorites are at risk, now you complain. Hypocrites.

Yes they absolutely did. Were you not around in 2008 to hear everyone upset that Mewtwo had been “replaced” by Lucario? How about in 2014 when Snake and Wolf didn’t come back? Hell the majority of Sakurai’s reason for bringing everyone back is because he knows how disappointing it is when your favorite character gets the axe and that every character is someone’s favorite. EVERYONE IS HERE is a major selling point for a reason.

Also OP I was upset you couldn’t bring notch-ear Pichu up through the generations and was ecstatic that it returned in Smash Brothers.

Fighting games have rotating rosters all the time, and Sakurai never cut 60% of the roster all at once after promising he'd never do such a thing. Also the characters in smash aren't presented as animals you raise and care for as your own pets.

Speak for yourself. When I tried transferring Spiky Eared Pichu to B/W and found out I couldn't, I was furious. Pichu is one of my favs and I wanted to have that unique Pichu with me. But they wouldn't let me. So I left Spiky Eared Pichu and Pikachu Colored Pichu in HGSS to live happily ever after, forever...

It was never the shitstorm SnS is since the cuts are more understandable for a fighting game, but yes people were mad. Ivysaur was my favorite character in Brawl, personally.
