Sinnohbros, do we even want this remake anymore? How are they NOT gonna fuck it up at this point. This was the last truly great pokemon game (including platinum) and I dont want them hurting my baby like they did with RSE

They're probably gonna base the remakes on DP which will make them already terrible since DP were shit base games. Platinum salvaged Sinnoh and without its influence the remakes will be automatically garbage.

This thread genuinely is confusing me. I thought ORAS was pretty good. There was some issues with the lack of difficulty that they carried over from XY and the fact that it didn't include Emerald's battle frontier but I didn't have much of an issue with anything else.

I loved RSE as well as DPPt so I'm all for Sinnoh remakes assuming they incorporate the improvements that Platinum brought to the originals and then a couple of new things (such as the soaring in the sky for legendaries in ORAS) would be nice. I would be slightly afraid of what they'd do to Dialga, Palkia and Giratina to make them more relevant again (probably gigantamax which just sounds a bit lame).

If they do Sinnoh remakes however, I would expect that they'd release an update for SwSh to include all the Pokémon that you could catch natively in DPPt such that the games retain full functionality with each other.

The 2D tile based map was supposed to describe an environment that can’t be effectively displayed. Now we have the tech and environments they show us look like garbage

A remake could only improve the Sinnoh region just like ORAS improved Hoenn. That isn't to say the remakes would be good. ORAS is shit, but that's because they fucked up when they made Hoenn to begin with. They fucked up almost as bad when making Sinnoh.
