Since I can't transfer all my Pokemon from previous games, wouldn't it be better if I just leave them stored on the 3DS until further notice? What's the benefit of moving them to the Bank if they're going to be held hostage?

I guess? But now I'm just paying extra money to only transfer 1/3 of what I own, which is just a downgrade to what the previous service offered. And if I can just recapture those 1/3 anyway, I really don't see any point. Especially when my favorites aren't available.
So, really, if leaving my mons is better than buying the new Bank or Home or whatever the fuck its called, then what's the point? Why should I spend money on it? Even from a business perspective it doesn't make logical sense.
