Don't care about cut Pokemon because I only use new ones in a playthrough anyway and im not a completionist or competitive autist
What I want to know is, is the game as frustratingly linear and cutscene heavy as Sun and Moon? Is it FUN or challenging?

Neutral parties like affleck and leakerchad say they like the game and it’s fun. Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s challenging....leakerchad also said it “felt big”

Leakanon completed the entire game in a day, you can't turn off exp share, postgame boss fights are only lv.62 at the highest. There's no Elite 4, the bossfight against Eternatus is scripted since Hop is helping you, making it way easier than U-Necrozma. You still can't skip cutscenes (as in the lengthy dialog boxes) and they're the same style as SM's.

Draw you own conclusion, though I don't know why anyone would come to Pokemon for a challenging RPG.

You can balance the game around xp share to make it more challenging.
I love xp share cuz i can now have a full team without grinding and its not why the games are piss easy nowadays. It should be impossible to do a solo starter run in XP share games, but its not.
