I am also really excited for Shield. I want to know about the shiny odds in it. And see all the new pokemons shinies. I guess I could hunt more in Ultra Sun, I have the shiny charm in that version.

i feel like getting the shiny charm (assuming it's still a thing in sword and shield) will be a lot easier because it seems like every pokemon in the dex is available to catch ingame and all you need to do is trade a few exclusives online/with friends/with yourself to fill out the last few spots, i'll probably have it before home even comes out

Yeah but that means that any current hunt is not as impactful if it's not there.
Also means I'm hard locked to less than half of the pokedex, I can't bring myself to suddenly like many of the shitty shinies that exist with their putrid yellow/neon green colors.

I'm just not gonna get the game and maybe start shiny hunting again when the full dex is back, if ever
