Let's be real, Pokemon Short and Shilled wouldn't even be worth it with a full pokedex.

The games look at iffy at best, but at least I could transfer my collection over.

With a full dex, I would think that they did another garbage game, like ORAS or XY.
They needed to add more Post-game content, and a proper E4 to be at the same level of the average pokemon game.
Then they needed to add a decent story, sidequests and better new pokemon to compete with some of the best of the franchise.
And if they truly wanted to make a game for the fans to remember for as long as they live, they would need to polish it all up.
