Hell, personally, I never really considered Red, Green, Leaf, Brendan, May, nor Wally (pretty sure he's as old as the other two Hoenn leads, he's just tiny) to be particularly "young", either. Always looked at them as being at least early teens, maybe thirteen or fourteen. They just don't "feel" as juvenile as the advertising, and some fans, make them out to be.
