It was also mocking people who are just NOW having a problem with the games as opposed to actually having a problem with all the other faults with the game/ franchise, since a lot of people are only actually now speaking up about the problems with the game because of dex cuts. If the dex cut didnt happen people would have ignored so many issues with these games.

His video is mainly about how removing certain oppressive Pokemon actually allows for more variety in the competitive scene. It's reasonable for someone who follows VGC to want the meta to mixup every now and then.
