Gameplay is either baby's first bullet hell thingy or scripted shit for each and every battle (it's not a programmed mechanic, it's literally scripted)
Characters are everything but likable and well written. They are in fact VERY badly written and the only way to tell them apart is because of their catchphrases. They don't have a real personality. People like them for the "expanded universe" the fandom has created, giving them traits that don't appear anywhere in the game's writing.
Story and lore are objectively shit, and visual design is non-existent. There is no cohesion between characters and backgrounds, even in the same scenario you can see elements with shadows, others that don't have, some are in a top-down perspective, others aren't. It's a clusterfuck. At most, the battle screen is the one that's more visually appealing, anyway doesn't have cohesion with the rest of the game.
