Does anyone know if Gigamax will be for any Pokemon you catch? Reading the leaks Leakerchad bred a charmander but it didn't inherit the gigamax trait.

It'd be heartbreaking to try to get a shiny, just to find out it didn't inherit the gigamax trait

It's only for certain Pokemon, and they seem to be timed distributions. As it stands we don't know how breeding G-max works. It could require an item, it could require two G-max parents, it could be random. That kind of stuff is best left for the datamine.

Doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Might mean have to see shiny gmax to see it in the dex just like you have to see other gmaxes to see them in the dex. I don’t think you can see shiny Pokémon in dex without seeing them in the wild/catching them

Everyone here hates Dynamax/Gigantamax and thinks it is extremely stupid. Then find out they can't have it in every pokémon they catch and suddenly it is the wailing wall

Because a Pokemon with a Gigantamax is automatically better in competitive. It's the same logic as Natures and IVs in the old gens. And why are you assuming that /vp/ is one person?
