>>40962887I'm interpreting the future based on past events and developer statements, retard. Maybe you come back when you grow a functioning brain.
>>40962891It's pre-order numbers are terrible compared to other games, including other Pokémon games.
Sun and Moon broke records with pre-order numbers close to 4 quarters of a million just in Japan. Shield and Sword are somewhere near 470 last I checked (1 point = 1000 pre-orders).
Then you take something like Monster hunter World which itself wasn't seen as very good compared to last games but still had pre-order numbers near 600. Last month they updated it's sales to reflect reaching 14 million. After updates and a DLC package hitting which Pokémon won't be getting.
S/S is lacking nearly 25% of the points compared to it at 14 million and nearly 36% compared to the last entry in it's own series. That doesn't bode well for hitting even the 12 million I expect. Not to mention Pokémon isn't and will never be multiplat unlike MHW.
And just stop and think for a second. How many units do Luigi's Mansion games normally sell? Not top of system numbers. Even one of the versions being below it looks frigging weird as hell.
Now, I don't want to get anyone's hopes up or down really. It definitely won't flop but there are way too many idiots here looking at numbers in a bubble. If there's even a bubble considering shit like Amazon and eShop sales are meaningless because we don't have numbers for ANYTHING there. Number one could literally be 100 copies for all we know. There's nothing to go on there.
