This is unreal, I still can't believe it.
When these generations were newly released back in the day... could you guess what was the general feeling towards each gen, when there were only 5?
The new gens were hated, they were "the death of the franchise".
The distaste for KANTOOO is not just pandering-induced annoyance, but distanced kiddies who didn't experience the early gens boom.
For a kid who was born in recent years, gen 4 & 5 will mean nothing... absolutely nothing.
Just a cool game they picked and dropped once, with no active community, no online and outdated mechanics.
They won't be the games who these kids played every day for hours, listening to OSTs they'll develop nostalgia a decade later... Instead that gap will be replaced with the current game.
In a few years, the 3DS will be considered "the good times"
