They'll do day and night cycles. The only reason they weren't in the first one was is because they strictly stuck to it being based on Yellow.

Weird how ORAS was lacking subtle features like trainer customization and the enhancements of super contests (dressing up the Pokemon) - because they wanted to keep the games as close to original as possible.

But then they include day/night - a feature absent from the entirety of gen 3.

LGPE lack things from Yellow, but nothing as major as post-game Kanto or the day/night cycle (not in LGPE, but not in any Kanto game either). Removing a lore-heavy location like the Ruins of Alph would be a new low, too. The Apricorn balls aren't even special anymore, being carried over to SM and SwSh.
