Sun & Moon's postgame had you go through a section of the last island that was previously blocked off beforehand to reach the Battle Facility. You could also hunt down Ultra Beasts around Alola and get your very own Nebby.
SwSh's postgame is a short postgame story and the Battle Facility. Zacian/Zamazenta are caught during the main story and Eternatus can be caught during your fight with it.
It is worse.
