yes if they actually took the time to make a game that people who grew up with the series would want to play it would sell much more. But instead they just keep trying to recapture the the youth audience doing things like simplifying the game cause they think that's what kids want.

Kids want fortnite and marvel, that's it. They're saying "you know I would play pokemon but it's just too hard" they don't care about pokemon and they never will. Companies make this mistake all the time though, instead of selling to the audience they have they try to force the audience they want.

Yeah, kids these days only care about multiplayer. Fortnite, League, Hearthstone and GTA5 online. Even younger kids play all of these now, and single player games are outdated to them.
