The saddest part of #ThankYouGameFreak is that it all comes off like the fans pleading with GF to cherish their property. Every post is another persons treasured story on how the franchise has affected them in some integral way.
If I was GF reading all these posts I would feel awful if I didn't put 110% into these games. It shows why quality matters so much for the series. People will go out of their way to hold onto memories of a better time. If GF truly is being corporate pieces of garbage, doing yearly releases for profit, not even trying to put in effort, etc. then they should feel like shit.
/vp/ needs to stop taking the hashtag as some spiteful bootlicking banzai, it's a depressing example of a fanbase giving all they have left to hold on to their fading feelings of nostalgia.
