The # probably more likely to be extremely hurtful to Game Freak. I get the vibe that they have been sick of Pokemon since Gen 6, especially 7. Little Town Hero which was their passion project didn’t do very well. You just know they hate being recognised only as “the Pokemon guys” and this # has only further solidified their worries and frustrations. They are working for a series that they have no passion for, it’s creatively a zombie franchise when you look at it from this angle. What I’m trying to say is that the # has unintentionally likely upset them even more.
