Except it isn't anon. Pokemon is such a fucking massive franchise now that the anime is essentially its own thing. It simply co-exists and coordinates with the games - they sell eachother but they are not the same thing.
The anime has already proven it will do its own thing and only loosly adapt things from the games in the past.
Not to mention Pokemon is much more than the anime and the games now. It's merchandise - the merchandise team will of course shill the new mons but they have a select few that are the most popular - it's trading cards - which always have older mons in the sets - it's GO, it's spin-offs .I don't think the other divisions of TPC were happy about the games culling the dex honestly.

Those are the confirmed episodes so far

Aside from Kanto which is the home base, there's two Galar episodes, one Sinnoh episode, and one Johto episode

They want the storylines to remain episodic and self-contained so that people can jump in at any time, citing the timeslot change as a reason for this

I can agree OR/AS were shit and botched the remake thing, but as somebody that aced the Frontier with all Gold Symbols I will never see how that counts as a top tier post game when It's the same flavor of endless battle we get from Towers in every game after.

Functionally the Platinum one was better and even then it was just...more of the same.

Sinnoh remake is gonna be shit, though, especially since It'll be the first remake to not have a full national dex and the Sinnoh Pokedex was, itself, absolute suffering.
