To be honest no matter what happens or what the reception is like the dex has to eventually be cut due to their being too many pokemon that'll just stack up as the series goes on. It's a sad thing since it's just going to create rosterfagging where a pokemon could get in multiple times whereas certain pokes would still need to wait to be in. Despite this though if they just made up for it by improving a lot of the gameplay itself then it wouldn't be as bad since they would have spent the time to make up for it in gameplay and not cause as many people to be pissed about the cut. Maybe next gen they'll fix up a lot of the issues caused by this and actually make something on par with BW/BW2
