Knowing how May/Dawn/Brock/Misty's cameos went, these will be announced in advanced, not take place until at least some time after the season has been premiered, and will be hyped up. If the Croagunk and Piplup were Brock's and Dawn's, we would have known it by now, but just because those might not be theirs is no guarantee that cameos are ruled out.
