The spines on a Sandslash's back are made from the same material as fingernails, but much tougher. It sheds these plates periodically by spinning very rapidly in place. In ancient times people used to collect these discarded plates and use them to craft simple armor by weaving them together.

When fully retracted, the cannons inside a Blastoise's shell can be rearranged to protrude from the rear. Today many people falsely believe that Grimer could not have existed before the advent of the modern industrial age and the many pollutants it has released into the environment. This is not true. Before the invention of factories Grimer were just very rare. Historiclaly they would congregate around volcanoes and geothermal vents where they would feed off of noxious elements released from beneath the Earth's crust.

Some scientists believe these Grimer likely had some different abilities from their modern brethren as the specific substances they were composed of would have been different. It has been theorized that more exotic forms of Grimer may be found deep beneath the Earth in oil deposits or at the bottom of hard to reach caves. Others still speculate that some inhospitable planets in the solar system could be host to alien forms of Grimer, or that Grimer could survive in these alien environments if introduced.

The quills on its back fall off after being ignited. However even discarded they are still easily flammable and can cause forest fires. It is likely for this reason that Cyndaquil and its evolution are generally only found in environments with consistent rainfall; otherwise they'd burn down everything around them. Trainers should be diligent in cleaning up these quills after battle. This safeguards against accidental fires and, in a pinch, they can be used as matches.

It's peculiar coloration is the result of its iron rich body rusting. The reason the rust is only one one side is because of its body also being divided magnetically, the Iron thus comprising one hemisphere and all other elements the other. Were it not weighed down by this heavy iron ore it is likely that Voltorb and Electrode would have the Levitate ability. When it evolves its magnetic poles switch, and in the process it loses its rust and, for a time, is pure white until the opposite hemisphere, where the iron atoms have migrated, rust once again.

Its resemblance to a Pokeball is a coincidence.

Ignore what I wrote and simply add the following in its place:

A recent radical theory regarding Voltorb's origins is that it is may have a hidden second typing; Fairy. Its internal components are mysterious and, some maintain, artificial, yet how this Pokemon has propagated itself in the "wild" is not understood. Thus it is proposed that it appeared shortly after the invention of Pokeballs because of influential that technology would soon prove to be, sent by some Legendary Pokemon.

Now I have an idea for a Fakemon. It will be Steel/Electric and look like a Voltorb only it is colored burnt orange(rust) and grey. When it evolves it becomes more of a reddish-orange and darker grey. It's superficial resemblance to the more recent Voltorb and Electrode is just a coincidence as its natural environment and internal structure aren't remotely similar and it is understood to be entirely natural.

The helmet on a Glaceon's head is purely for protection. Despite being made out of what appears to be ice, it never seems to melt, and is extremely durable; though it can crack.

I tried to give old-school feeling Pokdex entries to Incineroar and justify how it is. First entry is dealing with its personas in previous Pokedex entries but also what the official SM site/Smash says on it, second tries to explain anatomy, third how it catches prey via basing it on sabertooth cats/why it has a fire sac.

Red entry
>INCINEROAR are usually known as violent and capricious POKEMON, but seem to have a soft spot for the young. Reports of lost baby POKEMON and children being led back to their families by INCINEROAR have been recorded.

Green entry

It's name is misleading because Beedrill is not actually a be or even closely related to bees or other bee-like Pokemon, such as Combee. Rather it is a Wasp Pokemon. A questionable theory put forward regarding the gem-like core of this Pokemon is that it is somehow related other Pokemon which possess similar gems such as Golduck and Persian. Proponents of this theory believe that occasionally some sort of material falls to the Earth and induces psychic mutations in Pokemon, resulting in these gems forming on their heads. Fennekin's body is similar to that of an internal furnace, fueled by the small sticks they find and consume on the ground. The lower the internal temperature of a Fennekin drops, the more lethargic they become.

Fennekin often eat wood chunks and sticks on the ground to fuel their bodies. If a Fennekin overeats, they can store too much energy and become very hyperactive.

While Fennekin are known for eating sticks, Braixen lose the appetite for them, as wood stops providing any real benefit for their bodies after evolution. Braixen prefer to carry the sticks in their tails as a tool for combat.

Braixen are known to hold sticks that they find in their bushy tails to use in combat. Studies have shown that Braixen can actually grow attached to their twigs the longer they use them. It has even been reported that some have mourned over their sticks breaking.

Braixen will begin to develop their psychic abilities some time after evolving. They can't do much, only able to lift small objects off the ground without straining themselves.

Delphox have fully mastered their psychic abilities, and are known to be very powerful. It is said when the amount of psychic power stored in a Delphox is immense, their flames begin to turn a bright blue.

They are agile, deft, and are able to completely pacify an aggresive pokemon through the energy in their ribbon-like feelers.

Eiscue used to be a happy cheerful pokemon, most were very friendly and enjoyed the company of people. It actually had no need to encase its head with the ice you commonly see today but with weather changes the pokemon have had to migrate to a more safe location.
