To actually be in line with the most recent gen (7, not the abomination that is 8) feature-wise. The lack of something as basic as a day/night cycle and held items in LGPE was fucking disgusting, and the removal of nearly 700 Pokémon.
Kill off roaming encounters unless they expand the routes and do something unique with them.
Kill off portable PC because it makes no fucking sense for an adventure and breaks dungeons in half.
Kill off that shitty catching method and do it traditionally again.
Keep riding and following Pokémon because those were one of the few decent things about LGPE.
Drop the whole partner Pokémon schtick and just expand on an Amie-like mode where you can bond with any Pokémon, forcing a partner is stupid.
Don't do this stupid ass retcon that LGPE did where they made it so Red didn't actually beat Team Rocket. That's fucking stupid. Build upon the story of HGSS instead of that half-assed shit.
ACTUALLY EXPAND ON JOHTO since we're in fucking 3D now. DO SOMETHING NEW AND INTERESTING, ANYTHING.
Make them AT THE VERY LEAST on par with HGSS as a game. LGPE was downright inferior to FRLG in nearly every way.
