I think Mudsdale would still probably prefer Close Combat most of the time, but it would still be a nice option.

You can leave the field without switching out via things like eject button or u-turn so it's worded like that to let you know that you're not still locked in if your opponent gets out somehow.

Same with it not just basically working as a damage dealing mean look if you use it then Emergency Exit or Volt Switch or something.
