Hello vp,boomer here. I have this physical copy of Pokemon Gold IT version from when i was 8yo, and a gameboy advance. Is there anything cool i can do besides starters glitch and cloning glitch? Im literally at the start of the game because i was SR for a shiny cyndaquil,but eventually got bored

The battery surprisingly still works faintly after 19 years. As i said,i was 8yo when i got it,and now im 26. For some reason tho,if i leave for more than X minutes,it doesnt load the save from me being in front of the pokemons,but rather make me start all over the initial scene

It might not matter to them but if it does there are third party tools like the Mega Memory Card to take saves off GB carts and restore them as you wish.

Don't know if that would work for this specific language but I'm sure there's something.

You are incredibly lucky. The lifespan of the batteries is only supposed to be about 10 years at most.

All of mine and my brothers original saves were gone by late 2005, save my Crystal which lasted a whopping 12 years before finally giving up the ghost.

Here it a photo of my GB pocket. Its a shame that slect and start buttuon dont work well,plus when i was a kid,i force-inserted some adaptor that wasnt its type,conving my self it could work,thus ruining that entrance.

I have a cartridge with the same problem as well, I think that our batteries are dead. Rarely, when i play the game, I dedicate myself to pass it completely at once. My biggest record has been arriving and beating Red in 6 hours.

You have a very nice collection there.
Japanese Crystal is particularly valuable because it has networking features (the infamous Mobile System GB) built in and in theory it's still possible to make them work over the Internet.
I bought this cartridge to research on these features and work on a solution. The best I managed to do is to send an e-mail from inside the emulator to my Outlook PC client (which in theory should work on the real hardware) but I haven't gone past that due to the lack of time.
