You know, that's probably not even a bad idea, but seeing Go battles adapted so literally is really weird to watch.

As I said, this is a bad execution of it.
I'd imagine something like you, Barry, Dawn/Lucas and Cynthia teaming up to defeat Dialga/Palkia after shitting on Cyrus would be cool. I mean in X and Y you're facing off against gods of life and death, wouldn't be too weird to have some backup.

Battle facilities are full of people who use legendaries. They are just really rare pokemon, they aren't one offs, I'm glad the anime is treating them like the bosses that they literally are.

Small nitpick, but the player is never 10 in the games. Kanto and Alola have the youngest at 11, Kalos has the oldest at no younger than 16, everywhere else falls in the middle.

The whole "10 years old" thing only applies to Ash Ketchum and his peers in the anime.

5th generation started the retardation of box legendariees with lower catch ratio than fucking Caterpie. The whole chosen one story is fine once or twice, but not every time.
In the 3rd and 4th gens you only need to stop the mon, not catch it. And 1st and 2nd had them outside of the main route.
