Would like to do a run on HG, no evolved pokemon allowed. Is it possible to beat the game?

Stage 1 pokemon only or literally just the babies? Abra is probably the strongest in the dex.

I did a No Evo Run and it was pretty fun but pretty intense and the grinding was real.

My team was:

Cyndaquil
Spearow
Spinarak
Wooper
Mareep
Hoppip

Each served a role and it only really got bad at Claire as she destroys my team.

Beat the Elite 4 and did Kanto.

It's hard but pretty fun.

You could do it in volt white- blaze black 2 it's easier to get xp and you can catch all those baby Pokémon in early routes.

if you play on "switch" and can get a good range of coverage you can beat the game with anything fairly easily. AI will always have 0 IVs/EVs as far as I'm aware and often has bad movepools. As far as early game goes, Cyndaquil will have access to Fire Blast by Goldenrod, Gastly can get Thunderbolt via game corner to have a decent special move, and since you mentioned Totodile, you can get Swords Dance and Ice Beam there if you want to roll with him.
