>>41004004The 21st century is a horrifying, but interesting social experiment. The need a certain portion of people have for comfort and feeling they're on the "right side" leads them to deny reality and protect those that take advantage of them at all costs.
This whole thing reminds me of Disney Wars (and Sonic), although the Pokemon fandom is a bit more juvenile and autistically dedicated to it. Part of it is probably a defense mechanism to avoid confronting that hundreds or thousands of hours of building fantasy teams/ev training/breeding/shiny hunting is going to be worthless because their beloved company doesn't care.
