the critics have never cared about pokemon enough to actually scrutinize it. the only exception is the mystery dungeon games (reviewers REALLY seem to hate roguelikes).
add in the switch bonus and swsh will get a 90 for sure.

Critics will haul the games very very few innovations like raids and wild area. Most reviews will call out the dex cut and other bullshit but still give it 7.5+ scores. User ratings will be mostly negative but the apologists will dismiss those as review bombing from the dex crowd.
